MIU MIU will return to the Venice Film Festival again this year, with the fifth and sixth installments of its Women's Tales series of short films.
As with previous years, each production will be the work of a female director. The Door by Ava DuVernay and Le Donne della Vuccirira by Hiam Abbas from the new and unseen sixth series will both premiere on August 29, reports WWD. Following the same format as last year, the films - made in partnership with independent film company Venice Days - will be accompanied by discussion panels focusing on the role of women in cinema.
The 2013 Venice Film Festival will run from August 28 to September 7. The festival will open with Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock.
